PERFORMANCE TESTING

Understand better before training more.

We integrate energy metabolism, power, load, recovery and context to identify what limits performance and what to work on first.

Two decades of applied cycling science.

Cyclist assessed under load with movement markers in the laboratory

Cycling physiology

We measure how you produce and sustain effort.

The assessment connects energy metabolism, power, physiological response, recovery and training history to identify how you sustain effort, where the main limitation appears and what to develop next.

Performance assessment

Not every limit is solved by training more.

The assessment shows what your goal demands, what your data reveals and which factor should be addressed first.

01

What we analyze

  • 01Energy metabolism, bioenergetic demand and physiological response during cycling effort.
  • 02Strengths and limiting factors observed in power, load and response.
  • 03Training patterns, consistency, fatigue and recovery.
  • 04Relationship between the goal, available data, human context and individual response.
  • 05Priorities for the next training block.
02

Who it is for

  • 01Cyclists with data history but limited interpretation.
  • 02Athletes preparing a specific goal.
  • 03Cyclists who need a second expert reading before changing plan, bike or strategy.
  • 04Athletes with power, recovery or training-load data who need clearer signals.

Process and delivery

From scattered signals to a working path.

Profiling can be completed remotely or complemented in the lab when force, anthropometry or biomechanics measurements are needed.

01

Context and goal

We clarify what you are preparing for and which result you need to achieve.

02

Available data

We organize power, load, recovery, history and relevant response signals.

03

Demand profile

We compare the goal requirements with your observable response.

04

Priorities

We translate the analysis into criteria for the next block of work.

What you receive

  • An understandable summary of the observed profile.
  • Strengths, limiting factors and signals that require follow-up.
  • Priorities for training, technique or strategy.
  • A recommended next step, remote or in-lab depending on the case.

One hour, and you leave knowing what to do.

The consultation is remote and works anywhere in the world: we review your training history, your power data and your context, and you leave with the limiter identified and a concrete priority. It is not a sales call under another name — it is the analysis session.

Investment

USD 90 / 1-hour sessionapprox. $ 290.000 COP

  • Prior review of your history: power, load, recovery and whatever you have recorded.
  • One-hour video session, in English or Spanish.
  • Identification of the limiter and the intervention priority, with the reasoning.
  • Written summary with the decisions and the next steps.

If you go on to a training plan afterwards, this session doubles as the initial assessment and is not repeated.

Frequently asked questions

Questions before an assessment.

How is this different from an FTP test?

An FTP test returns a number: the power you can hold. The assessment explains where that number comes from and what is limiting it, cross-reading energy metabolism, power, load, recovery and history. They serve different purposes — the test measures, the assessment interprets and decides what to work on first.

Do I need a power meter?

It helps considerably, but it is not required. With power the analysis is finer; without it the work is based on heart rate, perceived effort, history and context. How far the interpretation can go with the data available is stated before starting.

Can it be done remotely?

Yes. The remote assessment works from your data, history and context, and it is the usual route for riders outside Bogotá. The on-site version adds what only the laboratory can measure — dynamometry and ISAK anthropometry. Which one applies depends on the case and is agreed before quoting.

How does this differ from Diagnosis One?

Diagnosis One is the initial reading that orders the starting point and defines which route makes sense for your case. The performance assessment is one of those routes, deeper and with a full profile. If you are not sure which you need, start with the diagnosis.

Is it useful if I already have a coach?

Yes, and that is one of the most frequent uses. It works as an independent second reading before changing plan, bike or race strategy. The deliverable is written so your coach can work from it, not to replace them.

Can I get a sense of my zones beforehand?

Yes. The Alto de Patios Challenge estimates power and heart-rate zones, VO2max and FRC from your FTP and body composition, free and without sign-up. These are estimates from formulas, not measurements: useful to orient yourself and to understand what each variable means before measuring it properly.

Turn data into priorities.

Diagnosis One helps define whether a performance assessment is the right next step for your case.
